Last Day of School

Wednesday was the last day of school. We scrubbed our desks and lockers, we signed yearbooks, we gave out awards, and we did thank you notes to John and Jan thanking them for our fishing trip. We also had a class auction with a Crusader Credits. We get Crusader Credits by doing our classroom jobs. I got a walkie talkie for 225 Crusader Credits. I also got some little things too and I still have 300 of them. I got everyone signed on my yearbook. The awards were the Fruit of the Spirit. A couple days ago we wrote down who we thought showed the most of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We wrote down individuals for each fruit. Mrs. Braaten printed an awards for everyone.  Matthew and I got all the fruits. We got the main fruit award. After we did everything we had chapel. After that we went home. All the girls were invited for a sleepover at my house to celebrate our graduation. To Be Continued.

Fishing

On Tuesday y class went fishing at Pine Grove Pond. We left at 9:15. Papa came with us. There was another school there. It was unexpected. It was four grades plus us there. We used worms for bait. This one kids from the other school caught a fish that was 13.2 lb! It was a rainbow crossed with a cutthroat. It was HUGE! I caught one fish. It was small so I let it go.Papa brought his grill so that we could grill up some hot dogs for lunch. It was a fun day even though we didn't catch that many fish.

Cruise

Last week we cruised to Alaska. Grandma, Grandpa, Ganten, Gracie, Gavin, Uncle Mark, Auntie Beth, and my parents went. We got on two weeks from tomorrow. We got on the ship by 1:00. We ate at the buffet and then Ganten and I we to explore the ship. The whole week Ganten and I were off on our own. The only time we saw our parents were twice: Once at dinner and once to get clothes. The kids had their own rooms. We had a room without windows. Grandma and Grandpa had their own room. Auntie Beth and Uncle Mark did too. My parents also had their own room. Ganten and I swam A LOT. Most of the time we would either be swimming or at the kids center doing crafts or a fussball. The ports we hit were Ketchican, Junea, and Skagway. We didn't do much in  Ketchican. All we did was shop. In Junea we went dog sledding it was really cool to watch the dogs pull us. They pulled 7 adults and me! there were 12 dogs. Their favorite thing to do is to pull that sled! In Skagway Everyone in the family went on a train ride because Grandma had never been on a train. The train went through the Klondike Gold Rush place. We also hit Victoria but we got in at 7:00 pm and we left at 12:00 pm so we didn't do anything there. We had two days at sea. The day after we left and the day after Skagway. We got home the next Sunday so we had a week of cruising.
