Ta Daaaaaa!

Kylie's room makeover is complete. New bed(s), curtains and bedding and voila! Oh and BIG clean out while Kylie was at Nana's yesterday of old and discarded toys. I think that feels best of all! We are now officially in a little girl's room. It's no longer "baby" like. I so love how it turned out. And Kylie love love loves her new bunk beds. We got a great deal on Craigslist for them. They're made out of Locus wood? Whatever that is? But the orange color matches her other wood nicely. And it is so SOLID! And she is ALREADY asking "when can I sleep on top?" Ummmm, NOT anytime soon as there is no guard rail. And Daddy got a nice piece of hickory wood and made the shelf above her closet for all her animals. And yes, I took off one of her closet door as that side is for toys. The other side is clothes. It's just so much easier not having to slide one or the other back and forth. So if you're in the neighborhood stop on by and take a look :-)

Yes, it's true.....

I've bought one of these AND I'm one of those Mother's who is now cutting off her daughter's crust!!! I swore it would NEVER happen at my house but all of sudden Kylie will no longer eat her bread crusts. What's up with this? Why bread crust was my favorite part of the bread. How and why do most kids go through this stage in life???

When I FIRST saw your face......

It was on this day that we first saw our daughter Kylie. This picture is when she was about 2 mos old and taken by another family in our SWI group. Isn't she beautiful?!

Now 4 years later our Princess is a VERY talkative, busy, HAPPY and loveable 4 1/2 year old.

Our soon to be new church

Well we've finally found a church we can call "home"....

We've met with pastor Glenn (and he ROCKS!) and we've tentatively made plans to have Kylie baptised on Father's Day (we wanted to do it this weekend as June 12th is when we first saw our precious Pookie) so we're in the home stretch of joining our own family church. It's a wonderful congregation who have welcomed us into their family and we hope we can enjoy them and the church for many years to come.

*A side note...we started going to this church as my MIL is the music director there. Well it forever be know as "Nana's" church to Kylie. Oh well someday she might realize it's OUR church too :-)

For Miss Kylie

Look...I found this perfect new bedding for Kylie's new bunk beds. She is in love with butterflies and her new favorite colors are pink and purple (and her walls are a lite yellow). So I think I did pretty good. Now if I can only get Daddy to put her bunk beds together. So stay tuned. New bedroom pictures coming. YEA!!
