Can you tell who were the guests at school?
Kylie's pre-school teacher is doing such a GREAT job with field trips and now guest speakers to her class. She invited one of her students parents to come talk about being a Doctor (well both parents are physicians). February is a field trip to our clothing store and Grandpa's candy store. Won't compete with dress up gear and fake bodies brought by the Dr.s but it will be SWEET I promise!

Another year is about to begin.....

Tomorrow marks the end of one year and the beginning of a new year on the Lunar calendar. AKA The Chinese New Year.
According to Wikipedia:
Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional Chinese holidays. It is often called the Lunar New Year, especially by people inside mainland China. People outside of mainland China and East Asia, especially westerners, call it "Chinese New Year." The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first lunar month (Chinese: 正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival. Chinese New Year's Eve is known as Chúxī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve".
So 2009 marks the year of the OX.
A look ahead says: The OX year is a conservative year, one of traditions and values. This is not a year to be outrageous. A slow but steady year.
This OX year will bring stability and growth where patience and diligence pays off. This is a year of Harvest - when we reap what we have sown. Take care of business this year, do not let things slide. Hmmm....I kind of like these ideas!

Here is what they say about people born in the year of the OX. Sorry no one in the Munsinger 3 was born in the year of the OX :-) We're a rabbit, monkey and a sheep. If you want to see your year/animal click HERE.
Characteristics:People Born in the Year of the OX are stable, strong, dutiful, reliable, tenacious, practical, industrious, determined, honest, loyal, sincere, persevering and down to earth and tolerant. They can sometimes be lonely but they form firm bonds with home and family. The OX people cherish their private lives and are not usually very adventurous. They can be loners. They know the way to succeed is by a slow, steady, sustained effort. OX people are great traditionalists, they like the familiar.
So with that we celebrate and say Kung Hei Fat Choi! (Happy New Year!)

Oh the things kids say!

We have a funny thing we do when we answer the phone from Mark (caller ID is a GREAT thing by the way)....
Phone ringing and Kylie answers "Joe's Bar and Grill can I help you?" Tee hee!
Mark and Kylie talk and the next thing I hear on my end is "Please leave a message after the beep....BEEEEEP!"
Oh my heck where did she learn that?
And Mark said he didn't prompt her all, he just asked for me?!
Oooh the things kids will say Bahahahah!

Nuggets and Avs pictures
Brother Mark and I just got home from 5 days in Denver. We go every year for a buying show. But we also partake in as many Pro athletic games as we can and we were lucky enough this year to see 2 hockey games and a basketball game. Tho' we were tired from working all day just seeing these athletes in realtime was a blast. Sure beats watching them on tv. History was made at the AVS game Sunday night when TWO players (Heyduk and Smyth) BOTH scored their 300th goal of their careers. This has only happened one other time in NHL history (2 teammates on the same night). You will notice we had GREAT seats for the Nuggets game. 6 rows or so from courtside. But notice our hockey seats were a lot farther from the ice (3rd deck one night and 2nd the next). But both cost the same amount ($150 ea!). But we had center ice and could see it all. Fun fun fun! Can hardly wait to go again next year.
**** On a side note I have to go back the end of February for the Gift show and am lucky enough to be seeing the LA Lakers AND on my Birthday! Waaaay cool!
