Letter to Santa

I found this GREAT website and so Kylie "sent" her letter to Santa via E-mail. Yes, it's a form letter but you get an instant reply and Kylie thought that was so cool! Ain't technology grand!



TO SANTA:

Dear Santa Claus,

My name is Kylie. I am a girl and I am already 3 years old!! I live in the great city of Kalispell. Of course, that's in Montana, United States, but I'll bet you knew that!! This year I've been so good that I should be the angel on top of the tree!

Santa Claus, some things I might like for Christmas this year are:
- camera;
- weeble wobble catcher; and,
- new Leap Pad book.

Merry Christmas Kylie!

Thank you for sending me your email all the way from Kalispell! HO!! Ho!! ho!! Did you know there are lots of elves in Kalispell? I hear they like visiting Kalispell because there's a special girl by the name of Kylie that lives there! (*wink*).

Jumping Jingle Bells, Kylie! Are you really and truly 3 years old already?!? I'll bet you're really excited about Christmas! Everyone at the North Pole sure is! Are you looking forward to Santa Claus visiting your home? Rudolph said he's really excited about visiting your home! I also hear you've been a REALLY REALLY good girl. (Of course, you won't mind if I do a little checking, will you? HO!! Ho!! ho!!).

Let's see what you put in your letter for Christmas wishes: 1. camera; 2. weeble wobble catcher and; 3. new leap pad book. I think that's wonderful that you are interested in books. I love them too! Of course, the only book I ever seem to have time for is my BIG, BIG book of who's been Naughty & Nice. HO!! Ho!! ho!!

Well, I better go feed the reindeer and polish Rudolph's nose with nose wax. Have to make sure everything's ready for the big day! Take care Kylie and don't forget to come back and visit me here at EmailSanta.com on Christmas Eve!! And remember... only 27 more sleeps until Christmas!!

Let it snow let it snow.......

Well we awoke to almost 12 inches of the fresh white stuff! Finally! We thought it would never snow here. And thank goodness it did for the sake of Big Mtn. (that's our local ski place). They needed it soooooo bad. I'm sure they're doing the happy dance now! Kylie is so excited she can make snow angels again.

Bring 'em on!

Daddy and Kylie had a "stay in your jammies ALL day" day while Momma was at the football game.

Not much going on

Well just a quick note to say "Not much going on here". Kylie has a case of the boogies so we pretty much stayed in our jammies most of Sunday watching videos (the new Cars is really cute by the way!) and cuddling on the couch. So it wasn't too bad of a day. But good news we're the WINNERS again...we (I mean Mark) got our outside Christmas lights up first on the block and they look sooooo sparkly and pretty! So now all we need is snow and we're all set. I got my first Christmas present to myself in the mail today.... a Scooba. It's one of those robotic floor cleaners. So I can hardly wait to get it charged up and scrubbing the kitchen floors! Will update you later on how this goes. So as exciting as you might think this is that's it. Kylie is on her way home from Nana's and I've got get some more stuff done. Sweet dreams from us to you!

PS. Kylie's new thing is "Help me help me....I'm stuck...." "In what we ask?" and she will say things like "the toaster" or "on a rock". The kid has a GREAT imagination. :-)

Remember when you too use to fit in a laundry basket and your dad could carry you around?

Are you special?

Tonight we were reading the kids book "Are you special, little one" and so we asked Kylie "are you special?" And she so proudly replied "YES, because I am a Chinese little girl". All of a sudden she is realizing she is from China and she will also tell people "I was born in China". So I'm sure more questions to come on that subject.

But I digress....today was Kylie's first day of "school" aka daycare to you and me. We dropped her off and so far so good. We made it thru the 3 hours and I got soooo much done without having the "help" of a 3 year old underfoot if you know what I mean? So Mark went to pick her up and the teachers said she did well but cried a few times. She came home to tell me all about it and the first words out of her mouth was "I cried at school momma because I missed you" aaaaah! So I asked her if she wanted to go back and she said "no". WRONG! We praised her and told her it was ok to be a little sad and that she would get use to it and by later tonight she thought school might be ok next week. So we try again. So we as proud parents bribed her with dinner anywhere she wanted to go in honor of her first day at school. Where did she insist we go.....McDonalds at Wal Mart of all places???? So off we went for Happy Meals and a little shopping. Oh what an exciting life we lead.

But on the plus side I must really brag here.... I got ALL my Christmas packages WRAPPED today. Again thanks to the help of a 3 year old picking out the bows and insisting blue and purple ARE Christmas colors and should go on red and green packages. All the while in the background "we" were watching Sprout tv. For those of you not tuned into this channel it's a toddler cartoon channel produced by PBS. So excellent as it may be at dinner time distracting a 3 year old it almost drove and almost 40 year INSANE while wrapping presents and arguing about bow colors. Annnnnd to top it all off I also put up our tree while Kylie was at school. So we're the winners on the block for being the first ones. All we did was light it but still Christmas is in the air at the Munsinger house.

So now Miss K. is in bed and I am off to do my nightly trek on the stationery bike. 8 miles a night is this weeks goal. Sweet dreams to all........

Here we go again

Well I have decided it is time again and we are going to try Kylie in "school" again. We did this last Fall but she wasn't ready and either was I. But this time I think we're both really ready. We call it school but it's really daycare. She is going to one right downtown (close to the store) and for only 3 hours in the afternoon. It's their playtime. So no lunch or napping involved. Just glorified/organized play time with other kids. We think it's time that Kylie get more socialization aka fighting for toys :-) So this works out great and they're really flexible and it's cheap! And best of all i can do only one day a week if I want. Which lots of places won't let you do. The daycare is run in the top of a church and has a GREAT playground and real homey atmosphere. So I feel a lot better about this place then I ever did about the other place. Guess it's gut/mom thing? So cross your fingers that Kylie likes this place better. The teachers were so impressed with her today as we were touring and chatting. They cannot get over how well she talks and that she can spell her name, knows her birthday and can count and she is barely 3. So there you have it...she is a genius! :-) So there's the excitement from our house today. Exciting as you all must be... we now take another major step in Kylie becoming a true little girl (sniff sniff!) Smiles from the Flathead :-)

Kickoff is Saturday at noon in Missoula.
This game comes down to if the GRIZ win then the Big Sky championship is ours ALONE or lose and we have to share it with the CATS (Waaaaah!) Sharing sucks!!!!

catching up with some summer photos

Kylie got her first motorcycle ride with Mark this Labor Day weekend. Don't you love her helmet...a bike helmet of all things. Needless to say she LOOOVED it! But...they did get pulled over by a fish and game warden who gave them a warning for riding on forest service roads without a legal license (which Mark claims is a new rule to him). So now whenever Mark goes off to ride Kylie tells him "Don't let the man get you daddy!"

The second picture is from our summer adoptive families picnic. This is Shaelyn and she lives about 50 miles from us. Her family used the same small adoption agency we did in MT. AND Shealyn is from the same orphanage as Kylie in Guixi, China. Small world since we live so close together and Guixi is considered a very small rural orphanage with only 70 some children. So we feel really special knowing Kylie will grow up knowing another "little" girl from her hometown. Shealyn is 10(ish) years old and a real beauty!

And the third picture is yet another one from our Flathead adoptive families picnic this summer. There are three girls (including Kylie) who were are all brought home in the summer of 2004 (and who all are the same age, now 3) and one big sister who loooves playing with all the little girls. We are so lucky that there are 4 little girls who all came home in August and November of 2004 and are all the same ages. So they will all grow up together.

Well the winds have finally died down (wind gusts reported as high as 60mph!!) and Kylie is on her way home after spending a day at Nana's (aka Mark's mom). My peace and quiet will be coming to an end. Sweet dreams to all!

How fast it comes and goes!

Good Monday Morning to all (if there can be such a thing?),
Well it came so fast and now is lost...Momma is no longer a genius. Or so Kylie informed me this morning as I was putting her shoes on. She said "Momma you're no longer a genius because you forgot my vitamin, you dropped your glove in the alley yesterday and and and...." Oh how sweet it was. So now I have to work hard to regain my genius status in the eyes of a 3 year old. No easy task either.

Well it's a cold blustery day in the Flathead. Feels like winter is definitely in the air. BRRRR! And all I can do is think about my folks who are lounging on some beach in Kauai, Hawaii. The nerve to leave me home too! But it's shaping up to be a typical Monday at work where NOTHING can go right! Gotta love having employees right!? So the blustery weather will be around mentally as well as physically!

Who's the boss?

Well Kylie has quickly learned that Momma is of course the ONLY genius in the Munsinger household. She use to think Daddy was one too until he kept fogetting things like her vitamin in the morning, taking a box out to the trash or minor things like this. So you can now ask her "Who's the boss in our house?" and she clearly replies "Momma is a genius!"

Oh yah and what do we always tell Grandpa?
"Go Griz beat the Cats!"

Only one week till the Griz/Cat game! Gooooooo Griz!
