Summer is gonna be BUSY

Well I signed up Miss K for some of her summer classes. She so enjoyed Kids College at FVCC that we got our act together faster this year so as not to miss out due to a full class.   K went thru the whole brochure and marked all the ones she liked. Then Mama went to the calendar and figured it out.  All the classes are either in the AM or PM and last 3 hours. So not too much.  She is taking one each week for 3 weeks so still lots of playtime and just chilling.

Here is what she's taking (well we hope as I haven't heard to the contrary).

Let's Speak French

Learning to speak French is fun. Amaze your family and friends* by sharing some French words and phrases.Through simple songs, games, art, food, and stories, you will be introduced to the French language and culture. Both new students and those who visited with us last summer are welcome.
*This is the part she's morst excited about...HAHA.

Art Around the World (She took last summer and LOVED it!)
Journey across the globe to discover wonderful art from other cultures. Travel to a different country each day to learn
about their art style, use of colors, textures and techniques. Use your creativity to complete projects from different
materials each day. Pack your bags for exciting adventure!

Galapagos Island Adventure
Discover the wonders of the Galapagos Islands. Explore their strange volcanic surfaces and learn about the unique plants and animals that live there. Meet “Lonesome George” and make your own glow in the dark rock tortoises, topographical map of the islands, stick bugs, and volcanoes that really explode!

She is also taking Hula again this summer. Her 3rd year thru Park and Rec. Only 1 week for 1hr/day  Would love for her to take lessons during the school year BUT...like everything else is Miss K's world it falls on Wednesdays and we just can't squeeze one more thing on that day :-(

Still trying to convince her to go to our church's day camp in July since she is finally old enough this year but all day seems a bit much to her. So we'll see if we can get some buddies lined up to go. Any other gonna 2nd graders interested? Let me know...it's FREE!

Ok, so if you would like to be 7 1/2 again and have your summer free to go to camps raise your hands. I know I would. It's GREAT to be a kid XoXo

Wrong spelling Mama

I was reading this blog "Where the Wild THYME Blows" today...why because look at this cute cute China doll referral and without missing a beat Kylie says"That's NOT how you spell TIME".  It is so nice that Kylie can read most anything.  But then again sometimes she reads things we wished she hadn't HaHa!  She is a quick one.

Welcome Back...2011!

Hello, My name is Susan and I am the original founder, creator, writer of this blog. I have decided it is ABOUT time to start again. That and I have Kylie to REMIND me, hound me and make me post to it.  So here goes.....

To catch you up....

It is the year 2011 and Miss K is now 7 and 1/2 yrs. old. Please note the 1/2 is a very important addition. I once remember how K would never say she was 1/2 anything. Just couldn't accept it. NOW we have a countdown to her 1/2 birthday and HAVE to add to her current age.

K is almost thru 1st grade....Yes, Yes I know you missed most of her Kindergarten year :-(. Oh well it's only getting better.  She is *back* and is still at Trinity and LOVING it.  Long story on the *back* part so let's just say she is happy and so are Mom and Dad.

Hmmm, we still have Lucky dog and he is still LUCKY to be alive and living with us.  He is now 11 and getting crotchier (sp?) by the day. He loves Mark and Nana and is only here to torment my life!

Mom and Dad are doing well and anxiously awaiting the arrival of warmer/DRIER weather in the Flathead.  See how I didn't say "Spring"...well I think this is Spring in the Flathead and we all just forget how stinking crummy it can be most days.

Easter weekend is upon us and we have 4 days of NOTHING to do...YEA!  K is off to Nana and Papa's for sleepover. Mom and Dad HOPE to be able to sleep in...tho' in our maturity we seem to be up earlier then we had hoped.

We hope you have a peaceful and LOVING holiday weekend and I hope you will enjoy my updating of the Munsinger Family of 3 blog. Fingers crossed I will do it!  If not it's K's fault for not MAKING me do it :-)
