Oh, back to thinking about packing. Now if all these clothes would just JUMP into our suitcases and oh of course leave extra room.... life would be grand!

This is my friend Ruth from in New Zealand (she adopted her first daughter at the same time we did in 2004...Emily) and they just got their referral aka match (after TWO years and 4 months of waiting!) for their new daughter Alice. Isn't she just the cutest thing you have ever seen?! Annnd her birthdy is the 4th of July! So we Americans think she all the more sweeter!

And it works like a charm.

Kylie was scootin' all over by herself after awhile of getting use to it.
This was BEFORE the "apparatus" came into play.

How to make your heart skip a beat......

I went in to check on Kylie before I went to bed and she WASN'T THERE! I mean her bed was all smooth and no child. Of course the room was completely dark except for the hall light shining thru her doorway. My heart literally skipped a beat as I scanned her room. And finally I looked over her bed and this is what I saw.....

She either crawled out or fell out and was curled up sleeping on the floor.

"OY child, no wonder I have so many new gray hairs!"
