Hello to all,
Sorry I have been gone for a week to Denver on our annual buying trip. Kylie and Mark did fine THANKS in part to Mark's Mom and Stepdad (Nana and Poppa) who watched Kylie the entire time I was gone and fed Mark all his dinners. Mark was busy trying to get the family room dry walled and mudded while Kylie was gone. It was a good trip but soooooooooooooooooooo COLD! Highs in the single digits most days. But oh the sunshine was beeeeautiful! I went with my brother Mark and we went to an Avalanche game (they lost Waaaah!) and then to a Nuggets game and they lost (Bigger Waaaah!) but we had GREAT seats and didn't even get lost driving there! Bought and saw lots of cool new things for the upcoming summer/fall seasons. I still have to go back the end of February for the gift show and then I'm done. Not much new here but Kylie was mostly too too busy to talk to me on the phone while I was gone. As was evident by her art "class" at Nana's house picture. But she did manage to ask me EVERYtime I called what I was getting her. And wouldn't you know it the kid LOVES Snoopy and things related and there is nothing out there right now. Especially books. Which is what she wanted. So she settled on more kiddie makeup and tattooes. So every morning I get my hair "done" and my makeup put on. Will post new pictures of Mark's basement progress when he gives them to me.
So blah blah blah from cold cold MT. for now

Momma "Why don't you want to go to school?, Why don't you want to get dressed?, Why don't you want to pick up your room? yada yada yada"
Kylie "'Cuz"
Momma "Well 'cuz is not an answer...tell me why"
Kylie "ummmmm"

Well yesterday in the car she was on a roll asking question after question after question...and yes, I was tired of answering them so I said....
Kylie "Why did you move my books Momma?"
Momma "'Cuz"
Kylie "Momma 'cuz is not a real reason you have to answer with a reason"

Eeeek! She IS listening to us :-)

Friends don't buy friends......

Well after 2 hours of trying to change Kylie's sheets on her bed I got distracted and starting bagging up toys she no longer plays with and stuffed animals and ALL the McDonald Happy Meal toys and 'em taking them to the Salvation Army tomorrow. I wish I had more motivation before Christmas so some kids could have them then but better late then never. It feels and looks SO GOOD but I am a little sad at the loss of her "baby" toys (sniff sniff). My baby is growing up!

So back to the title of this post.... I do solemnly swear to never buy my friend's (and my relative's) kids stuffed animals ever ever again! They're sooooo cute and soooo fuzzy (I can tell you I had a ton of the critters while I was growing up. Still holdong on to two of them too!) but after awhile they just sit and sit and sit there. So PLEASE don't buy Kylie anymore. I love you!

Kylie is in the bath and I must now go and savor her organised room for another 30 seconds or so. Sweet dreams from MT.

Makeup 101

Kylie's faaaavorite stocking stuffer was a $2.99 makeup kit. Oh and of course it didn't help momma look any better in the AM.

Little known fact according to Kylie.....
Kylie was "putting" on her makeup yesterday. A new morning routine we have that she "gets" to do after she brushes her teeth AND combs her hair. Well we don't surpervise this since she really can't get into too much trouble. Well out she came and I noticed she had pink sparkles goo'd all over her eyelids. So I asked "Kylie did you put your lip gloss on your eyelids?" Kylie states so clearly "YES". Well I then proceed to tell her we don't put LIP goo on our eyes but ONLY on our lips.
Well she replies "I missed!"
"You missed?"
"I must have, I just closed my eyes and missed my lips and it just got on my eyes"
Oooooh that makes sense now. Because EVERYONE knows how easy it is to "miss" your lips and hit your eyelids
